I've been lurking/reading here for a while. I see things there seems to be no explanation for, like, when I view some peoples posts, the sidebar, and I keep seeing things that shows me their favourite bloggers - where does that list come from? i.e. How do I get my own list of bloggers to watch? JoeUser seems to need some "help" pages to describe things like this.. Or is it just that I can't find them? J.

It just occured to me, that todays clothing industry is still stuck in Victorian times, in some ways. In particular, the right/left-handed zipper/buttons thing. Mens clothing gets zippers that can be done up right-handed, ie the flap of cloth over the zipper is on the left, leaving it accessible from the right. Womens is the opposite way around, this was originally because women didn't dress themselves, but got dressed by their servants, and thus the zipper/buttons/whatever were right-handed ...
I wasnt sure whether to post this in Internet->Websites, or Books, but acttually I'm more interested in opinions from the book side of things .. soo.. First of all, has anybody seen or heard of a community website, that is about books? There are plenty that sell books, and have lots of information about them, but the listing of ones own books, and discussion, generally takes a back seat. I guess this is supposed to be an introductory post.. Why desert-island? Way back when I started out playing games and such on the internet (MUDs, anyone know them?) I had to pick a nickname, and settled on "castaway", from "Message in a bottle" by Sting, looking up the lyrics of which, I will leave as an exercise for the reader.
